Wiesbaden Fastnacht Parade 🇩🇪

The Wiesbaden Fastnacht Parade, a vibrant highlight of the city’s carnival season, took place on Sunday, March 2, 2025. Organized by the Dachorganisation Wiesbadener Karneval 1950 e.V. (DACHO), the event celebrated its 75th anniversary, drawing over 5,000 participants from more than 65 clubs, including groups from across Germany and abroad. The parade featured 18 music ensembles, over 60 vehicles, and creatively themed floats that humorously addressed local politics and societal topics.

Commencing at 12:11 PM from the Friedrich-Ebert-Allee, the 4.2-kilometer procession meandered through Wiesbaden’s city center, passing landmarks such as the Kurhaus and Schlossplatz. Tens of thousands of spectators lined the streets, many dressed in festive costumes, to enjoy the lively atmosphere, music, and traditional candy throws.

The festivities extended beyond the parade, with street food vendors offering local delicacies and drinks, particularly around the “An den Quellen” area, enhancing the celebratory mood.  The event concluded with various after-parties throughout the city, marking a successful celebration of Wiesbaden’s rich carnival tradition.
