Started off Spring Break in a warm tropical environment. Tropical Islands Resort, located about 60 km south of Berlin 🇩🇪 , opened in 2004 as one of Europe’s largest indoor waterparks. The resort is housed in the massive Tropical Dome, originally built as an airship hangar by Cargolifter AG. After the company went bankrupt, the structure was repurposed into a tropical-themed resort. Inside, visitors find artificial beaches, lagoons, a rainforest, and one of the world’s largest indoor pools. The dome also contains a hotel with rooms set among lush greenery, live birds, and tropical plants, creating an immersive jungle atmosphere. Our hotel was IN the dome and makes you feel like you’re in another world. Off to the next stop 🚆
