Sometimes, the best kind of getaway is the one where you do… absolutely nothing. No museums, no must-see landmarks—just sea breeze, sunshine, and plates of perfect pasta. For Memorial Weekend, we checked into Cridda Hotel & Restaurant, perched right on the coast of Lamezia Golfo in southern Italy. Check-in was easy at noon, and within minutes, we were barefoot in the sand.
The beach here stretches wide and relaxed, with soft waves and hardly a crowd in sight. Morning espresso with a view of the shimmering Tyrrhenian Sea? Yes, please. Afternoon swims and long, lazy lunches under an umbrella of lemon trees? Even better.
If you’re looking for a quiet, soul-recharging beach break with no pressure to explore, Lamezia Golfo delivers. It’s not about what you do here—it’s about how you feel. And we felt fantastic.
