In early October, we embarked on a captivating journey through Sicily, soaking up history, nature, and coastal charm. Our first stop was the medieval hilltop town of Erice, where cobbled streets and panoramic views set the tone for the trip.
We spent a few relaxing days in San Vito Lo Capo, enjoying sandy beaches and fresh seafood. Then came a whirlwind, chaotic visit to Palermo, Sicilyโs vibrant capital โ full of energy, markets, and unexpected moments.
After regrouping at a peaceful agritourism stay, we ventured to the awe-inspiring Valley of the Temples, marveling at well-preserved ancient Greek ruins. Hiking the dramatic Turkish Stairs offered breathtaking coastal vistas and a touch of adventure.
As the days closed, we savored a stunning sunset over the Salt Museum of the Culcasi Salt Pans, where pink salt pans glowed warmly against the evening sky โ a perfect Sicilian farewell.
