For our final night in Sicily, we headed west to the Salt Museum near Trapani, where centuries-old windmills still watch over the shimmering salt pans. Arriving at sunset, the whole landscape lit up in soft gold and pink, with reflections stretching across the shallow pools like a watercolor painting. Peaceful, striking, and quietly magical—it was the perfect close to our journey.

Dinner took us to Paceco, where we stumbled upon a hidden gem: a butcher shop that doubles as a restaurant. No frills, just incredible food—and hands down, the best burger we’ve ever had. Juicy, local meat, perfectly grilled, served with simple sides and local wine. Even better, we caught a small-town parade passing through the streets as we finished our meal, full of music, flags, and that unmistakable Sicilian spirit.

We ended the night at one last agriturismo, tucked into the countryside with olive trees rustling outside and a sky full of stars overhead. A quiet, restful pause before our early flight out the next morning.

Sicily surprised us at every turn—with its flavors, history, chaos, and calm. And we’re already dreaming of the next return.
