Starting 2025 with our 25th European country visited. 🇪🇺 We spent two days in Ljubljana, Slovenia 🇸🇮. According to legend, the Greek hero Jason and his Argonauts, after stealing the Golden Fleece, traveled up the Danube, Sava, and Ljubljanica rivers to what is now Ljubljana. There, they encountered a fearsome dragon in a marsh near the Ljubljanica River. Jason fought and defeated the dragon, which later became the symbol of the city. Today, the dragon is prominently featured on Ljubljana’s coat of arms, the iconic Dragon Bridge, and throughout the city, embodying strength, courage, and resilience.
