🧚 Fairy Pools

Crystal-clear blue pools fed by cascading waterfalls greet you after a short but rewarding hike into the Cuillin foothills. This magical spot lives up to its name, with stepping stones and winding streams that make it feel like the fairies just stepped away. Dog- and kid-friendly, and unforgettable in any weather.

🏞️ The Quiraing

Carved by ancient landslips, the Quiraing’s otherworldly ridges, cliffs, and green plateaus are straight out of a fantasy novel. A picnic here feels surreal — towering rock formations behind you, sea lochs in the distance. Whether you stretch your legs or just take in the view, it’s a moment that captures the heart of Skye.

🗿 Old Man of Storr

One of Scotland’s most iconic landmarks, the Old Man of Storr is a jagged pinnacle rising dramatically from the Trotternish Ridge. A short hike brings you to a lower viewpoint with striking photo ops, or you can go further for panoramic views of the Sound of Raasay. It’s eerie, windswept, and majestic — a must-see. The weather didn’t cooperate and this was the only view we had.
