For a quick weekend escape, we headed to Belgium to visit Groot-Bijgaarden Castle, just outside Brussels. Every spring, the castle grounds transform into a dazzling display of flowers, and itβs the perfect mix of history and beauty.
We wandered through gardens bursting with tulips, daffodils, and hyacinths, each pathway leading to another colorful surprise. The castle itself provided a fairytale backdrop, making the experience feel both magical and peaceful.
Adding to the charm was a special Venetian-themed event, complete with elaborate costumes and masks. It felt like a slice of Italy dropped right into Belgium, giving the kids and adults alike a chance to step into another world for the afternoon.
It was a short trip, but between the blooms and the Venetian flair, it felt like a perfect little celebration of spring.
